Mixture and Power

Takeoff

  • activar yaw damper mode
  • verificar engine cowl flaps open (adentro)

Climb Settings

Recommended by the manual: 120kts, 35in manifold, 25K RMP. 155pph (combustible).

From YT

Try this. For every number on the mixture say 3 to 4 thousand feet.
So at 3500 move to 1, 8000 move to 2, 12K to 3, 16K to 4 and 20K to 5 and adjust to Cruse from there.

Cruise Settings

Una vez se alcance los 18000 se debe ajustar la presion a 2992

No existe un solo ajuste para todo. Todo depende de lo que quieras, algunos ejemplos:

  • minifold 31, RPM 23K.
  • minifold 28m 21RMP => gasta menos, mas lento
  • manifold 33m, 25RPM => gasta mas, mas rapido.

Segun el POH dice que total fuel burn este cerca de 186-187, es decir, 93 en cada motor

En el EGT cada marca significa 15 grados. Lo normal es hacer 15° lean of peak for endurance 15° richi of peak for performance.

No olvidar cerrar los clow flaps (afuera) y activar prop sync.

From YT

I normally use 31 on the manifold and 23 on the prop 20gph lean of peak.
The 115pph at those settings was 19.2gph which was close.
I did not see much difference in performance in 30mp and 2400 prop they were about the
same just quieter at 31 and 2300, pretty much same speed and fuel burn.
The real Pilot uses standard cruise at 20gph.
I’m with you depending on how far you need to go needs different settings.
I was able to get 18gph with 31 and 2300 by adjusting the Mixture down more and only lost 3-5 knots
in airspeed.

Descent Settings

Manifold 24, 22RPM, 180 IAS.

Cuando se este por llegar al IAF

  • full mixture
  • full RPM
  • flaps 1.

Cuando se capture el GP:

  • flaps 2
  • landing gear down
  • yaw damper off
