-- Rule #1 -------- | |
-- You must agree and follow our community guidelines
a. Public chat is English-only. Use private channels for other languages or friendly slang.
b. Don't spam or repeat yourself without cause.
c. Don't have fun at the expense of others.
d. Some profanity is okay. We're mature folks and profanity isn't taboo when used intelligently.
e. Hate speech, abuse, and rude behavior is never ok. Don't attack people, use slurs, racism, or sexism
f. You are responsible for your account. Alcohol or drugs can't be used as an excuse.
g. Listen to staff. We have a responsibility to maintain an open and welcoming community.
Visit http://www.core-network.us/conduct/ to read full version of our community guidelines.
-- Rule #2 -------- | |
-- We don't spawn items, teleport or hold your hand. Survive.
This is a Player vs Environment server. You are expected to survive on your own. Staff's job isn't to look after you. You have to travel, fight monsters, get items and figure out the game on your own. You can ask for any amount of information but moderators won't make the game easier for you.
We provided all players with lots of information about the game, check /help and /faq or visit our website:
http://www.core-network.us
-- Rule #3 -------- | |
-- No hacking, no exploiting, no item duplicating.
You cannot try to use any software to exploit the server or try to bypass normal survival rules. This includes but is not limited to: flight, illegal movement, unrealistic block breaking / placing, kill aura, reach hacks, chat and packet spam. You can enhance your interface with mini-maps, waypoints, inventory sorting and other things described in /help Mods. You are not allowed to duplicate items even if it's possible in current version of Minecraft.
Report all bugs and exploits you encounter in private - you will never be punished for responsible disclosure. Hiding the existence of bugs and using them to your advantage is not okay and will cause you trouble.
-- Rule #4 -------- | |
-- If it's not protected, it can be taken. Claim your stuff!
We have an easy to use player claim system which is explained to everyone joining the server: /help Claims. If you don't protect your chests and buildings with it, anyone else is allowed to steal or grief you.
The same goes for giving people access - if a player you trusted steals or griefs you, staff will not intervene. Give trust accordingly. You can also subdivide your claim to give precise access: /help Subclaims
-- Rule #5 -------- | |
-- If you go into someone's base and you die, it's your fault.
PvP is disabled globally but you are still in danger from monsters or environment (lava, falling gravel, etc). If you go into another player's base, be aware that it may have things that kill you inside. Staff is not responsible for deaths at the hands of traps, delibrate or not. When in doubt, walk away.
If you are legitimately stuck, use /trapped which will release you from player's claim.
-- Rule #6 -------- | |
-- Don't claim too close to other players without asking.
People on Flatcore like their personal space. Because of animal and villager systems: /help Limits, the safe distance to settle without asking is view distance: if you can't see other player's base, it's OK to start building. If you're interested in becoming a close neighbor, always ask permission beforehand. Should you feel someone is too close, politely ask them to relocate or request staff's help via /ask.
On top of that, deciding to not claim a village to use its regenerating properties indefinitely doesn't stop anyone from claiming it. If you want to own a village, claim it or staff might not help you with your new neighbor.
-- Rule #7 -------- | |
-- You cannot use alt accounts except when recording video.
To prevent the abuse of our per-player looting system and the one-hour Limbo penalty, we do not allow alt accounts. The only exception to this rule is to record yourself playing for a video (LP, stream, etc). You may not use another account as your Limbo account. |
