Remote LUKS Unlock via SSH on Immutable Fedora (Silverblue/Kinoite/CoreOS)

Enabling remote LUKS decryption via SSH during the initramfs phase requires specific workarounds on immutable Fedora due to /root being a symlink to /var/roothome and rpm-ostree stripping out files required by OpenSSH.

Prerequisites

Install the required dracut SSH module (this will stage the package for your next deployment):

Template Creation Guide

This guide outlines how to create a template that can be used with https://rimeissner.dev/transaction-templates/

A template is a json file that has a root object with the properties name, inputs, txs.

The inputs are used together with the txs to generated the final transactions. Also a simple interface with input fiels is generated for the specified inputs.
