###scrolls IRC Channel - Rules and Guidelines
When you join the channel #scrolls, you are expected to abide by these rules.
###General rules ####Do NOT
- Harass other users.
- Send unwanted messages, which includes those that may be considered spamming or flooding.
- Distribute pirated software.
- Distribute malicious content.
- Use unauthorized bots or scripts.
- Use auto-rejoin on kicks, they are used for a reason.
- Link to "shock" sites.
- Discuss NSFW content.
- Advertise channels, sites, or any other content.
- Make a fool of yourself.
####DO
- Be polite to other users.
- Read the topic.
- Listen to channel staff.
- Refrain from using proficy.
- Keep discussion SFW.
###General guidelines ####Listen to channel staff Please keep in mind that channel staff are here for a reason. They can be identified with having operator or voice status, or with either a @ or + prefix.
If they decide you are in some way or another are violating channel conduct, they may take necessary actions if required. ####Advertising Please do not advertise content unless authorized by channel staff. To this enforcement, there are some exclusions which includes linking to official Mojang Resources, Scrolls Development Resources and Scrolls Support Resources. ####Bots Unless authorized by a channel operator, please do not use bots or scripts in this channel.
###Consequences On event that you violate one or multiple rules, channel staff may take necessary actions.
There are five types of warning which we may use, which can be referred to "levels".
#####Level 1 The user will be notified either in private, or publicly to ensure that the user does not continue such actions
#####Level 2 The user will be kicked from the channel, and a reason may be specified as to reasoning.
#####Level 3 The user will be temporarily banned, which usually lasts for a couple of minutes to a couple of hours.
#####Level 4 The user will face an extended ban, which usually lasts to a couple of days to a couple of weeks.
#####Permanent Ban Permanent bans, may only be issued by a channel operator if it is deemed that they should not be apart of channel discussion at all.
###DISCLAIMER These rules are subject to change at any time, without any given warning. Regardless of these guidelines, if a channel administrator decides to implement a temporary rule, they may do so.
