Steps to Terminal Enlightenment on a Mac

Hopefully you'll Live Long and Prosper, so I don't mean terminal as in "you gonna die". This is a somewhat opinionated article on configuring a macOS machine with:

• iTerm2
• Z-shell
• Oh My ZSH! (mostly obsolete now)

• Nerd Fonts, which are Powerline-derived fonts, particularly my favorite - Hack Nerd

You can get all of this information on the command line.

rails generate with no generator name will output a list of all available generators and some information about global options. rails generate GENERATOR --help will list the options that can be passed to the specified generator.
