I had to replace:

    commit = line[:6]
    msg =  line[7:]

with

    split = line.find(' ')
    commit = line[:split]
    msg =  line[split+1:]

because I got an ambiguous commit

How to run this script? I got this error:

[user]$ python3 compare-git-branch.py -a main -b feature1 -t yesterday
Traceback (most recent call last):

TypeError: a bytes-like object is required, not 'str'

This script doesn't work with python3 the repo is here https://github.com/rwky/Compare-git-branches/ if you want to make a PR to update it.
