Here's a slightly modified version that works with OSX 10.10 and also installs with SSL support
cd /usr/local/src
sudo curl -O http://invisible-island.net/datafiles/release/lynx-cur.zip
sudo unzip lynx-cur.zip
cd lynx2-8-9
./configure --with-ssl --mandir=/usr/share/man
make
sudo make install
Worked for me on 10.6.8. Just had to download a different version (http://invisible-mirror.net/archives/lynx/tarballs/lynx2.8.7rel.2.tar.gz) and create the /usr/local/src/
directory first.

I'm unable to get
--with-ssl
recognized when I run./configure
. Any tips on that?
