 Hm, in my understanding a professional handling of mistakes is somehow different.
 You make a wrong decision, you have to cope with the shitstorm. You learn from the mistake and won't make it again.

 I'd agree. unfortunately there's an enormous gap in comments & discussion in this channel due to all the comments Dwayne & Brian et al deleted. makes it hard to trust them when they just refuse to engage anyone for weeks.

 one advantage here is that the AP can't just slink off into the night with the money. When this crashes & burns they should make everyone whole. They made a lot of promises & clearly did little to no due diligence before rushing into sales.

 Sorry gang, dinner turned into drinks, a movie and a night out 😅

 The thoughts that I had was:

 1. Yeah, what you all mentioned about journalists/rights/IRL news/media being turned into NFTs might possibly be causing friction. 
 2. Perhaps it’s simply that they’re one of the largest news/media sources in the world and didn’t realize the NFT space was a beast on its own they’d need staff for that they didn’t have (mods/social media managers/community managers, etc) so they’re simply unprepared. 
 3. This might be a stretch but, perhaps they simply ARE just working on sorting out some of the kinks and don’t feel the need to update us on the regular like most projects/marketplaces/Discord servers do naturally. 

 I’ll be honest though, I’m in more of a unique position than a lot of others in the server. I’ve been a collector for a while now, and was guided purely by the concept of one of my photojournalist agency heroes (AP) producing NFTs. I wanted Pulitzer Prize winning work, and have no intent on selling. Sure, I’d like to see the AP marketplace link up/switch over to other marketplaces, but solely for the pleasure of showing my work to a broader audience. I’m not interested in moving to OS to put anything on secondary. So I feel your pain, but I don’t share it. 

 With allll of that said however, yes, AP should be better prepared to coddle/update/handle the small community it’s amassed here. 

 And I’m still ready and able to help with that (as much as I was when they asked me to mod). 

 4a here in Italy, gotta hit those proverbial sheets, so GN, and hopefully we’ll have more answers in the near future.

 Thanks for the thoughts, though one thing I’d also point out is that asking about open sea/metamask isn’t just about selling for profit. I also love the art and bought in to support photojournalism, but I also have a lot of other stuff stored on OS that I’d eventually like to be able to display (like on a token frame or something). Having my whole collection in one place seems like it’d make that much easier - if I just wanted a high res jpg I could right click-save! But now this art is siloed away from everything else - it’s like if I bought a piece of art in a gallery and was told that in a week I could take it home, but then when I come back in a week I’m told that it has to stay in the gallery and only people who know to look for it there (down a deserted alley, alone) will ever be able to see it. Oh and by the way, before the gallery shut down, they told me that I’d get a special reward for being an early adopter which was never delivered.

 Honestly, this is no surprise given what the rest of world has seen of real life / web2 companies going into web3 space.   Very few of them know enough to know what they don't know.   And all of them I've seen get hit by lack of knoweldge or skill/talent needed to do what's needed.    Some of them have figured it out in their own way, but it takes time.  Hopefully that's what AP needs, some time.   My NFTs weren't going anywhere, so it doesn't bother me that much, but I'd also like to see some assurance I didn't just burn my ETH here

 Totally agree.. Time has managed to do some interesting things for an old media company, so I guess I was hoping that maybe AP or others could follow their lead. At the end of the day, if nothing else, I’ve got some amazing photos I can get professionally printed and hang on the wall which will look amazing.
