Multi-Service Geocoder

This Python script utilizes the GeoPy geocoding library to batch geocode a number of addresses, using various services until a pair of latitude/longitude values are returned. Python 3 port and refactor of a script by @rgdonohue.

Built to anticipate an input csv should that includes columns named street, city, state, country.

Usage Example

OSM Statistics Tiles

The goal of this dataset/project would be to generate geospatial statistics based on OpenStreetMap data and stored as JSON and PBF formats. These pre-computed tiles would enable data scientists to perform complex geospatial analysis at a country wide scale with minimal CPU processing.

There could be thousands of different geospatial statitics that could be generated from a simple OSM dataset within a given BBox, here's a list of the most useful geospatial statitic that would be defined:

- install the following packages tl, mbtiles, tilelive-http
- npm install -g tl @mapbox/mbtiles tilelive-http
go to http://bboxfinder.com/ and box your area
- should return your cooridinates in the following order: lng-min, lat-min, lng-max, lat-max
open terminal/command line and cd to your project folder and run the following:

Creating custom OBF files for OsmAnd

Setup

Make sure the latest version of java is installed.
Download OsmAndMapCreator from here: http://download.osmand.net/latest-night-build/OsmAndMapCreator-main.zip
Download a PBF file for your area of interest from Geofabrik (http://download.geofabrik.de/) or other source (e.g. activation wiki)
Create an OBF folder on your desktop
Unzip your OsmAndMapCreator folder to whatever location you want.
