This policy applies to browser extensions published by schroneko that link to this page from their official browser extension store listing and whose user data processing remains on the user's device. These products are referred to as Covered Extensions.
This policy describes the handling rules shared by all Covered Extensions. Each extension's store listing and Privacy practices disclosure identify its specific purpose, data categories, permissions, site access, and local storage behavior.
A data category is not handled by every Covered Extension. If an extension's store listing does not identify a category, that extension does not intentionally access or process that category.
Depending on its disclosed single purpose, a Covered Extension may locally process one or more of the following Chrome Web Store data categories:
- Personally identifiable information
- Health information
- Financial and payment information
- Authentication information
- Personal communications
- Location
- Web history, including page URLs and resource URLs
- User activity, including interactions and feature state
- Website content, including visible page elements and resources
- User-provided settings, commands, and other content required by the feature
The exact subset handled by each Covered Extension is disclosed before installation on that extension's store page. A Covered Extension processes data only when necessary for its prominently disclosed, user-facing single purpose.
Covered Extensions process data locally in the user's browser or on the user's device. The developer does not receive locally processed data.
A Covered Extension may read or modify page content, observe page or feature state, or operate browser and website controls when required by its disclosed purpose. It may also create a local file when the user explicitly requests an export or download.
Covered Extensions do not transmit user data to the developer, developer-operated servers, analytics providers, advertising services, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
A Covered Extension may cause the browser to perform an ordinary website request or user-requested navigation as part of its disclosed feature. Such requests are made directly to the website being used and remain subject to that website's privacy policy. They are not received by the extension developer.
A Covered Extension may store preferences, feature state, or temporary cache data using storage located on the user's device when its store listing discloses that behavior.
Temporary data is retained only for as long as required to provide the feature. Locally saved extension data can be removed through the extension's controls, the browser's data controls, or by uninstalling the extension. Files deliberately exported by the user remain under the user's control.
Covered Extensions do not use browser synchronization, cloud storage, or remote backup for user data under this policy.
Covered Extensions do not sell, share, or transfer user data. They do not use user data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's disclosed single purpose.
No developer or third-party personnel can access or read data that remains locally processed by a Covered Extension.
Covered Extensions do not use analytics, telemetry, advertising SDKs, external account systems, or developer-operated external services.
All executable extension code is included in the installed package. Covered Extensions do not load or execute remote code.
Each Covered Extension requests only the permissions and site access necessary for its disclosed single purpose. The exact permissions, accessed sites, and reasons for access are disclosed on that extension's store page and in the Chrome Web Store Privacy practices section.
Covered Extensions' use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data is used only to provide or improve the extension's disclosed single purpose. It is not transferred for advertising, sold to third parties, used for creditworthiness or lending, or made available for human reading.
A new extension may use this shared policy without a separate extension-specific privacy policy only when:
- Its user data processing remains on the user's device.
- It does not send user data to the developer or third parties.
- It does not use analytics, telemetry, advertising, external accounts, cloud storage, browser synchronization, or developer-operated services.
- Its actual data categories, purpose, permissions, site access, and local storage behavior are accurately disclosed on its store page.
- Its behavior complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and this policy.
Before an extension begins transmitting data off the user's device, using an external API or server for user data, synchronizing data, adding analytics or telemetry, sharing data, or allowing developer or third-party access, this policy and the extension's store disclosures will be updated. Any disclosure and consent required by the Chrome Web Store or applicable law will be completed before the new practice begins.
Material changes will be published on this page with an updated date.
This policy covers only the Covered Extensions. Websites used with an extension remain governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
