Transmission Blocklist

The Transmission torrent client has an option to set a Blocklist, which helps protect you from getting caught and having the DMCA send a letter/email.

It's as simple as downloading and installing the latest client:

• https://transmissionbt.com/download/

After installing, navigate through the menu: Edit > Preferences > Privacy:

1. Check enable blocklist
2. Paste in: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Naunter/BT_BlockLists/master/bt_blocklists.gz (peep the curls) (github)
3. Check Enable automatic updates
4. Click Update
5. Close

It works for Transmission 4.0.6 (38c164933e) as of September 12, 2025, and shows 456,022 IP addresses blocked. I have only used this one: https://github.com/Naunter/BT_BlockLists/raw/master/bt_blocklists.gz Peace to all
