The Case of the Sorry Musicians
It was a dark and stormy night in the city, and detective Paul Stanley of the Kiss Detective Agency was on the case. He had been hired by a group of women who claimed to have had an unforgettable evening with the members of the famous rock band Kiss, only to wake up the next morning with no memory of what had happened.
Paul had heard rumors of the band's wild parties and was not surprised by the women's request. He knew that if anyone could help solve this mystery, it was him.
As he began his investigation, Paul learned that the women had met the band at a football game and had gone on to spend the evening drinking cognac and discussing literature and music at a nearby library. From there, the trail went cold.
Determined to uncover the truth, Paul decided to pay a visit to the library. As he arrived, he noticed a helicopter parked outside, its rotors still spinning. Without a moment's hesitation, he climbed aboard and took off into the night sky.
As he flew over the city, Paul scanned the streets below for any sign of the band. He knew that if he could find them, he could get to the bottom of this mystery once and for all.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he spotted a group of figures huddled in a back alley. As he drew closer, he saw that it was indeed the members of Kiss, looking worse for wear and surrounded by empty bottles of cognac.
Paul landed the helicopter and confronted the group. "I know what you did last night," he said, his voice dripping with suspicion. "And I won't rest until I get to the bottom of this."
The band members looked at each other nervously. "We didn't do anything," said Gene Simmons. "We just wanted to have a good time and enjoy some cognac with some new friends."
Paul narrowed his eyes. He knew that there was more to the story than that. But as he looked into the band members' faces, he saw something that he hadn't expected: genuine remorse.
In that moment, Paul knew that the case was closed. He had found the truth, and it was something much simpler and more innocent than he had anticipated.
As he flew back to his office, Paul couldn't help but smile at the absurdity of it all. It seemed that even the wildest of parties could have a happy ending, as long as there was enough cognac to go around.
But as the detective settled into his chair, a Seuss-style poem began to form in his mind:
Oh, the things that we do
 When we're feeling brand new
And the cognac is flowing
Our inhibitions are going
We dance and we sing
And before you know it
We're in a helicopter
Flying over the city
But don't worry, dear friends
This story does not end In tragedy or sorrow
For Kiss and their guests
Had a great time, at their best
And there's no need to borrow
Another bottle of cognac
For the fun has been had
And the mystery is solved
By detective Paul Stanley
And his team, they have evolved
Into the greatest detective squad
In the city, no doubt
So if you're in need of their aid
Just give them a shout
