new EV car

a version was online at https://stackedit.io/app#

Current car 175.2 inches long

2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek "Hybrid" dimensions 175.2 x 78.8 (w/mirrors) /70.1 x 63.6

Genesis GV60 177.8 inches

dimensions 177.8 inches long, only 2.6" longer!

  • - ugly chrome v-shape in hood line, ugly wheels
  • + nice Ash Gray Glacier White interior
  • - Vision Roof w/ Power Shade even if I don't want it.
  • - Genesis has discontinued all the nice exterior colors. No more Atacama Copper, Sao Paolo Lime, Hanauma Mint, even the blue is gone.

$56,500 for standard AWD 264 mile range in Hanauma Mint. No premium audio option or ventilated seats, they're only available in Advanced AWD for $63,000 (including freight) which has 16 miles less range (248 miles), also adds leather seats, heated steering wheel, rear door shades, parking assist, surround view monitor, blind spot monitor and more features.

$71,900 (including freight) for Performance AWD Hanauma Mint adds more power, loses another 13 miles of range (235 miles) maybe from 21-inch wheels. Adds Power bolsters and "Ergo Motion" drivers seat, Nappa leather (diamond pattern) seats, heated rear seats, microfiber suede headliner & pillars, Genesis Digital Key 2 (access car from smartphone), and electronically controlled suspension.

Options: liners $220, cargo net $50, reversible cargo tray $160, roof rack crossbars $450 (get aftermarket?) push list price to:

Base MSRP $60,900
Package $0
Colors $650
Accessories $430
Freight $1,450
Total MSRP $63,430

GV60 tire downgrade

Two cars have same hp, so maybe the reduced range is entirely from 20-inch wheels instead of 19. Standard tire is P235/55 R 19, wheel is ?? 8.0 diameter (another site says it's 7.5Jx19 ET49.5 with offset range 47.5 - 51.5). Maybe I can get Advanced AWD and install aftermarket 19" wheels?! 6061 V-Forged VFM are $548 each! Tire Rack lets me try the out 19x8 wheels selection
