Sebastian Korfmann is a seasoned Web-Engineer from Germany, working for Bulletproof Networks in Australia and based in Ho-Chi-Minh City, Vietnam.

He looks back on five years of professional Software Engineering and is keen to share his experience with things related to Ruby, Rails & Docker. Hence, he's running "Saigon.rb" & "Docker Saigon" and got involved in organizing various tech workshops.

Abstract

We'll take a closer look at Docker and its vast ecosystem. Docker is quickly becoming everybody's darling, but why is that? It's not only about enhancing your current hosting infrastructure, but a game-changer in the way you'll think about SysOps and application platforms.

Notes

This talk is based on the experience we've made along the way of evolving the internal hosting infrastructure of Bulletproof Networks. I haven't given the talk, yet. However, I'll propose this talk to other conferences and will give a variant of this talk at user groups.
