Sebastian Korfmann is a seasoned Web-Engineer from Germany, working for Bulletproof Networks in Australia and based in Ho-Chi-Minh City, Vietnam.

He looks back on five years of professional Software Engineering and is keen to share his experience with things related to Ruby, Rails & Docker. Hence, he's running "Saigon.rb" & "Docker Saigon" and got involved in organizing various tech workshops.

Docker & CoreOS: A Platform For Accelerating Continuous Deployment

Abstract

Pretty much everybody agrees that it shouldn't take more than a "git push" to deliver your code to staging or production. However, there are many ways to build the pipeline in between. A system based on Docker & CoreOS is one of them and seems to be a perfect toolset for this sort of problem.

I'll share the experience and learnings we've made along the way of building a fully automated delivery pipeline based on Docker & CoreOS.

Notes

This talk is based on the experience we've made along the way of evolving the internal hosting infrastructure of Bulletproof Networks. I haven't given the talk, yet. However, I'll propose this talk to other conferences and will give a variant of this talk at user groups.
