# Gentoo Installer has been moved to the repo | |
# The latest version is available here: https://github.com/sormy/gentoo-quick-installer |
Installation is successful, but i can't login using root password set in livecd mode, it always says Wrong password.
This script doesn't allow password access by default. Only SSH using key provided in SSH_PUBLIC_KEY. If you want password access, then comment out passwd -d -l root
.
any way to use it without SSH or set a regular password?

If you want password access, then replace passwd -d -l root
with passwd root
and enter password when will be asked.
thanks it worked
to @prizde
why the hell you set a root a root passwd
I don't and script don't. passwd -d -l root
removes password for root making it impossible to login with any password, this is for security purposes to avoid default passwords.
and why its asking for ssh
Usually provisioning over SSH is much easier, since you can read articles and copy/paste instructions remotely using secured shell with public key authentication. If network is not available or ssh is not an option for any reason, then you can use ROOT_PASSWORD variable to set password for root and login from tty1 using it. ROOT_PASSWORD is not set by default, you need to explicitly set to any password you want.
shitty scripter
This is not constructive dialogue, educate yourself, both hard and soft skills.
The installation is successful, but after rebooting it does not accept the root password set in livecd mode.
