QA Test Engineer

You will:

  • Work towards improving test automation framework and maintain scalable data sets
  • Develop and contribute to long-term technical solutions and strategies of the engineering department
  • Advocate technical solutions and execute ideas without waiting for, or requiring intervention from others
  • Produce automation scripts in Python (pytest), Java unit testing (jUnit), load and performance testing (e.g. jMeter)
  • Work throughout the entire development cycle together with other technical and non-technical teams participating in product delivery
  • Deliver best quality products and features in shortest period of time without sacrificing quality
  • Enhance existing capabilities with innovative solutions that will set us apart from our competition
  • Evaluate current test procedures/process and drive optimisation
  • Leverage monitoring and reporting tools to provide quality metrics

We're looking for people who:

  • Extensive experience in test automation development
  • Enjoy programming and are experienced in Python, familiar with Java, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB and Unix/Linux environments
  • Huge bonus if you have worked with JavaScript, iOS and Android
  • Are experienced in developing and/or testing web applications, APIs and back-end services displaying innovation in designing process improvements
  • Have thorough understanding of testing concepts, methodologies and processes, preferable in SOA
  • Are experienced in both functional and non-functional testing
  • Focus on what is most important at all time, realising when to change the game plan and when to stick to it
  • Excited by sharing your own knowledge with your peers and learning from others
  • Intolerant to mistakes and errors
  • Have an agile mind-set, fast to adapt to constant changes and thrive in a fast moving environment
