So I took this and went to use the idea on my page, but was/am using d3.v3. The code is broken where it refers to d3.svg.mouse, this has become d3.mouse, I believe. But on top of that, the circles are broken when moving from v2 to v3 of d3. Only the first data point has a circle/is clickable with v3 of d3. I'd love to know how to fix this to use this idea in d3, but I don't see what is wrong with the code that deals with circles.
Edit: I believe I solved it for my case, I changed line 160 from
.data(this.points, function(d) { return d; });
to
.data(this.points);
As the function seemed to only return the first data point, and we want all of them to have dots.
