State where you are currently at with this goal

  • Exposed to React
  • Strong with materialize, but only materialize

Define what success looks like after 1 year

  • Personal Project in Bootstrap & React Native
  • Read at least one book on design

Outline resources for learning

List books, blogs, talks, podcasts and courses that would be useful in learning more

  • HTML & CSS book that weighs 10lbs
  • React Native Documentation
  • Based on how new the framework is, I think it's evolving too fast for books.

List mentors you know or places you could find mentors who could help you along the way

  • Lovisa, David Daniel

List meetups and conferences related to this goal (if relevant)

List ideas or links to things you could or are currently building to achieve this goal. (check out the side-hustle assignment)

List ideas for lightning talks or conference talks that you could give on this topic. (check out the community involvement assignment)

  • Reports on which platfroms/devices are growing/declining and how to react.

List open source projects that relate to this goal (check out the open source assignment)

  • I'm just flat out uninterested in contributing to open source at this point. Brutal honesty.

Why is this goal important to you?

  • I want to work on the front end, but I don't really understand responsive design. I've only considered Chrome web apps thus far, which means I missing nearly all platforms. Also, I'm happy with my proficiency in Materialize, but Bootstrap seems more practical/transferable.
