Master React

State where you are currently at with this goal

  • Exposed to React during fecho project

Define what success looks like after 1 year

  • Personal project converted to React on the front end

Outline resources for learning

List books, blogs, talks, podcasts and courses that would be useful in learning more

  • Documentation
  • Based on how new the framework is, I think it's evolving too fast for books.

List mentors you know or places you could find mentors who could help you along the way

  • Lovisa, David Daniel

List meetups and conferences related to this goal (if relevant)

List ideas or links to things you could or are currently building to achieve this goal. (check out the side-hustle assignment)

List ideas for lightning talks or conference talks that you could give on this topic. (check out the community involvement assignment)

  • I like writing blog posts because it helps me realize my gaps in understanding. I'd start with a blog, but I don't know anything about React except for components & event emitters, so I don't have any topics.

List open source projects that relate to this goal (check out the open source assignment)

  • I'm just flat out uninterested in contributing to open source at this point. Brutal honesty.

Why is this goal important to you?

  • I want to work on the front end, but I don't have the skills/experience to back it up. Not cool.
  • I'm very proud of my PainCaver app, but it's performance is too slow. I need any performance boost I can get.
