# Privacy Policy — computerviruseswatch

**computerviruseswatch** is a moderation helper app for the subreddit it is
installed on (r/computerviruses). It notifies the community's helper team on
Discord about posts flaired "Disinfection Help" that have not yet received a
reply from a user with an expert flair.

## What data the app processes

The app only reads **publicly available Reddit content** of the subreddit it
is installed on:

- posts (title, link, flair, creation time, comment count),
- comments (author name and author flair, to determine whether an expert or
  moderator has replied),
- the subreddit's public moderator list.

The app does **not** access private messages, modmail, email addresses,
IP addresses, or any non-public account information. It does not track users.

## What data the app stores

The app stores minimal operational state in Reddit-provided storage (Devvit
Redis): post IDs, comment counts, answered/mod-replied status flags, and the
ID of the Discord message it maintains. No usernames or comment contents are
stored. State is automatically pruned when posts age out of the configured
time window (default 14 days).

## What data leaves Reddit

The app sends a summary list to a single Discord webhook configured by the
subreddit's moderators. This list contains only: post titles, links to the
public Reddit posts, post age, and comment counts. No usernames, comment
texts, or other data are transmitted. Data is sent exclusively to the
Discord channel chosen by the moderators and is subject to
[Discord's privacy policy](https://discord.com/privacy).

## Data sharing and selling

The app does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties other
than the moderator-configured Discord webhook described above. It performs
no advertising, profiling, or AI training.
