Disable sound indicator in Firefox tabs Useful if video is muted but the indicator is still visible (PLEASE keep this indicator if you play sound)

This page is high up in Google search results so I'm going to hijack it to post a complete userstyle to do this job:

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");
.tabbrowser-tab[pinned] :-moz-any(.tab-icon-overlay[soundplaying]) {
    display: none !important;
}

You can paste the above into a blank style created with the extension "Stylish".

Edit: now that Mozilla have downgraded extension support, you'll need to paste it into your UserChrome.css file.
