IveEaten is a private restaurant and dish tracking app. It stores your food journal locally on your device by default. If you choose to sign in, IveEaten can sync your restaurants and dishes through Firebase so you can restore or use your data across devices.
IveEaten may collect or store the following information depending on how you use the app:
| Data | When Used | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you create or sign in to an account | Authentication and password reset |
| User ID | When you create or sign in to an account | Associate synced data with your account |
| Restaurants and dishes | When you add entries | Save your personal food journal |
| Ratings, notes, tags, prices, and descriptions | When you add them | Save details about dishes and restaurants |
| Photos | When you choose dish photos from your device | Attach images to dish entries |
| Approximate or precise location | When you choose current location or sort by distance | Save restaurant coordinates or show nearby restaurants |
| Import and export files | When you use import/export | Backup and restore your own data |
IveEaten stores restaurants, dishes, settings, and optional dish photos in local app storage using Hive. Local data stays on your device unless you export it, share it, or choose to sync it to your account.
If you sign in, IveEaten uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore to sync your restaurants and dishes. Synced records are associated with your account ID and protected by Firebase security rules so users can only read and write their own records.
Location is optional. IveEaten asks for location only when you use features such as current-location restaurant entry or distance sorting. Location coordinates may be stored in your restaurant records if you save them. Location is not used for advertising.
Photos are optional. If you choose images for a dish, IveEaten stores them with that dish entry. Photos are included in cloud sync only if you sync the dish data while signed in.
IveEaten does not sell your personal data. The app uses Firebase services from Google to provide authentication and sync. Data may be processed by those service providers only to operate the app features you use.
Data sent between the app and Firebase is encrypted in transit. Local data is stored in app storage on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device and account credentials secure.
You can delete local data in Settings with Clear All Data. If you are signed in, you can use Delete Account to remove your cloud sync data, account, and local app data. If account deletion fails because Firebase requires a recent sign-in, sign in again and retry.
You can also request help with data deletion by contacting surajmandalcell@gmail.com.
IveEaten is not directed to children. The app is intended for general personal food tracking.
This policy may be updated when app behavior changes. The updated policy will be published with a new "Last updated" date.
