How to install non-mac steam games on a mac (basic, might be more complicated depending on platform).

steam_cross_download
Visit the page of the title you want to download, and get the title # from the URL
Visit steam://open/console in a browser which will open the console in steam
Run:
@sSteamCmdForcePlatformType windows
then
app_install [steam title number]
