Super simple goan fish

Coriander seeds | |
Sabit zeera seeds | |
5-10 dried chilli peppers | |
½ tsp halthi | |
Salt or garlic salt | |
Black pepper | |
4 garlic cloves - crushed | |
3 garlic cloves - chopped | |
ginger - grated | |
1tsp mint chutney | |
Fry all of that up to make the masala (dont burn it, just let it cook a bit). Grind all that up using a food processor | |

Fish for 3-4 people (fillets or strips) | |
Shrimp (maybe 1-1.5 cups) | |
Green chillies, slit | |
Curry leaves, mustard seed, peppercorns | |
New pan - Fry 1 onion (chopped) until transparent. Add masala and cook / let the onion pick up the aroma. | |
Add tomato 1 large tomato (chunked or sliced). Let liquid partially evaporate | |
Add coconut milk (1/2 a can or more for richer), and a little bit of water (1/4-1/2 cup) | |
Seperate pan, high heat fry shrimp and mustard seeds, curry leaves, garlic, green chillies. Let the shrimp cook a little bit and add fish (fillets). Fish should not be fully cooked through. | |
Add the coconut milk curry to fish pan. Adjust heat and let simmer until fish is cooked through. Don't let it get soggy. Don't let the liquid evaporate. | |
Plate it. with jasmine rice and steamed vegetables . | |
