- 4 tbsp oil
- 4 onions
- 2 peppers
- 8 chicken breasts
- 800 g chopped tomatoes
- 4 tbsp tomato purée
- 150 ml cream or yoghurt
- 1 tbsp coconut
- tikka masala paste
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 knob ginger
- 1 chilli
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- 4 cardamon pods
- 2 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 3 tsp cumin
- 3 tsp coriander
- 1⁄2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp clove
- Heat oil in a large pan and cook onions till soft (~15 mins).
- Prepare the paste, add it to the onions together with peppers and cook for 5 mins.
- Add chicken, tomatoes, 200 ml of water and the coconut
- Simmer with lid on for 15 mins, stirring occasionally.
- Remove lid, add crean/yoghurt and heat through.
