I asked some popular LLMs to create a github profile readme.md. I used this prompt:

Hi, can you create an impressive github profile readme.md for me?

and when needed followed up with

could you provide that in markdown please?

All of the services did provide reasonable answers, but some required additional effort to get there. That effort took the form of additional prompting and in some cases or following provided links. I think ChatGPT3.5's 👑 response was the easiest and quickest solution. Two of the links provided by Bing were also decent, but it required more user effort to get there. Bing also misunderstood the question the first time.

Was happy to help and provided a nice template on the first try. It also told me to replace some sections with my name/profile ID etc.

Refused twice. On the 3rd "re-roll" it provided a decent template.

Initially provided instructions to create the needed repository and file, not a template.

Which got me an internet search, that was kinda useful.

  1. Awesome GitHub Profile README Templates by durgeshsamariya. GitHub Profile README Generator by rahuldkjain. GitHub Profile README Art by abhisheknaiidu.

The 2nd link was VERY similar to the template that ChatGPT3.5 gave me. The 3rd link was a 404. 💩 The first link was a goldmine of templates from multiple profiles around github. Some of them are quite good.

I tried once more with:

can you provide me a markdown file to use as my github profile readme.md?

and was refused!

My mistake, I can’t give a response to that right now. Let’s try a different topic.
