- This past week I spent time recharging and fixing my habits that I lost over break. What was effective was that I feel better this week in that I am sleeping at a decent hour and waking up not so tired to pay attention in class. What could be more effective is I need to find time so that I can do self study and re-teach the material. What steps I can do to make this happen is to really stick to a schedule with my teammates and say this is the time I am free to work as a group and this is the time I need for myself to do some self study.

Consider how to talk about your motives and values, the turning points that led to your career change, and what you envision for yourself going forward. My name is Thao Ma. I am an Asian American. English is my second language and it is one of the reason that really motivated me to be at Turing. I have watched my family especially the older generations have trouble using the technology because they have trouble with the English language and this made me want to updates apps and systems to make it easier for other people with limited English language to use these websites or apps without also feeling like they need to ask for help. Going forward what I envision for myself is that once I finished Turing I want to begin my career and hopefully end up at a company that lines up with my values are. I am looking for a bit of flexibility in my schedule as I also want to start a family. I also hope to have stability. I also hope that I can hopefully build software one day that many people can use easily and my goal is that I can create a software or update a software for people that are underrepresented.
