GTA V Online with CrossOver on mac - 2026 method

Tested with

  • OS: MacOS 14.7.6 (M mac)
  • Layer: CrossOver 26.0.0
    • CrossOver made Rockstar Games Launcher Bottle
  • GTA Legacy

Steps

  1. Download file*

The file store saves in the .../crossover/Rockstar Games Launcher/drive_c/users/crossover/AppData/Roaming/file/*.pso

  1. Delete version.dll from the game root folder, if it exist.
  2. Put file.dll into your game root folder.
  3. Add file name to the "Wine configuration" -> "Libraries" and make sure it's (native, builtin).
  1. Make sure that BE is disabled. (Steam, R* Launcher, Epic has different way to disable it.)
  2. Enter to the game Story Mode and Online game menu will work.
  3. Join Invite Only Session and enjoy.
