How to open ClickUp links in ClickUp app instead of the browser

1. Install Finicky

• Simply run brew install --cask finicky or download the app from the repo: https://github.com/johnste/finicky

2. Save this Finicky config to your home root directory as follows: ~/.finicky.js. Please change your default browser to your browser of choice.

Hey @kristakis, I stopped using Clickup altogether, so I am not able to verify, but I can update the gist if you confirm that your solution is working.

Hi Jakub, Yes, it works. I ran Finicky from a console and it showed the links as they were being processed. Before: (ClickUp rejects this) Start listening to file changes Reloading config Valid config ✅ Checking for updates: Current version: v3.4.0 Available version: v3.4.0 Latest version seen: v3.4.0 Opening com.clickup.desktop-app at: clickup://app.clickup.com/xxxxxxxx/v/f/xxxxxxxxx After: (ClickUp accepts this) Detected file change Reloading config Reloading config Valid config ✅ Checking for updates: Current version: v3.4.0 Available version: v3.4.0 Latest version seen: v3.4.0 Opening com.clickup.desktop-app at: clickup:///xxxxxxxx/v/f/xxxxxxxxx There’s 3 /’s in there as I’ve only removed the app.clickup.com <http://app.clickup.com/> part but I don’t know how to change that but Clickup is working again so I’m happy. I thought it might be helpful to tell others. If you know enough about Finicky to remove that extra / I’d love to know. thanks, Kris

That did the trick - I inserted this at line 15:

pathname: url.pathname.slice(1)

and can see Finicky processing:
