| This is one of our favorites, takes very little time to prepare, and is very easy. Who doesn't like a good meat sauce, right? | |
| 1 large can tomato sauce | |
| 1 large can crushed tomatoes | |
| 1 small can tomato paste | |
| 1 onion, diced | |
| 1/4 cup red wine | |
| 1 tablespoon minced garlic | |
| 1lb ground turkey | |
| 1lb pasta | |
| The secret to a good pasta sauce is time. We like to put this on in the crockpot in the morning and let it cook all day. Combine tomato products and garlic in the crock pot. Heat a frying pan with some butter in it, and then add the onion. Once the onions start to carmelize, add some salt and about half of the wine and cook for another 10-20 seconds. Empty the frying pan into the crockpot, and add the rest of the wine directly to the sauce. Use that same frying pan and brown the turkey. Salt and pepper to taste while browning. Then add this to the sauce as well. Be sure to stir the sauce throughout the day. | |
| When you are ready to eat, boil the pasta, and drain thoroughly. Your sauce is already ready, so enjoy! |
