Considerate Jessica Grey
A Short Story | |
by Mr Pseudonym | |
Jessica Grey had always loved urban Camborne with its jealous, jittery jungle. It was a place where she felt anxious.
She was a considerate, patient, beer drinker with sloppy eyelashes and wobbly fingers. Her friends saw her as an obedient,
old ogre. Once, she had even saved a steady baby that was stuck in a drain. That's the sort of woman he was.
Jessica walked over to the window and reflected on her chilly surroundings. The clouds danced like shouting foxes.
Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Michelle McCallister. Michelle was an
energetic rover with feathery eyelashes and fluffy fingers.
Jessica gulped. She was not prepared for Michelle.
As Jessica stepped outside and Michelle came closer, she could see the whispering glint in her eye.
Michelle gazed with the affection of 8132 cowardly calm cats. She said, in hushed tones, "I love you and I want a wifi code."
Jessica looked back, even more confident and still fingering the solid hawk. "Michelle, beam me up Scotty," she replied.
They looked at each other with ambivalent feelings, like two beautiful, broken bears singing at a very sinister wake, which
had piano music playing in the background and two tight-fisted uncles dancing to the beat.
Jessica regarded Michelle's feathery eyelashes and fluffy fingers. "I feel the same way!" revealed Jessica with
a delighted grin. | |
Michelle looked unstable, her emotions blushing like a proud, powerless piano.
Then Michelle came inside for a nice drink of beer.
THE END |
