Sometimes, I feel like a homeless person on the street forecasting an upcoming apocalypse. Unlike homeless people, however, I have a Github account and plan on using it to document my predictions.
- The tablet, phone, and laptop computer will have a retarded love child, call it the lablet.
- The lablet will probably run on an ARM processor, unless Intel gets their mobile shit together.
- Apple's lablet will run a modified OS which is just as "locked down" as the present iOS.
- The OS running on this thing will have, in the very least, a permanent version of System Integrity Protection. It will not allow you to access Kernel space, nor will it let you modify system files.
- Apple will not sell any computers besides the lablet, except perhaps very over-priced desktops for certain types of "professionals". These devices may still run lablet OS.
- The web will continue to die off (despite its promise) and web apps will be almost entirely unheard of.
Strong AI will exist and everything will be just fine and dandy.
