Access Lync on Ubuntu

To access Lync on Ubuntu, do the following:

Install the attached file (download pidgin-ppa_0.0.7_all.deb).

$ sudo apt-get install pidgin-sipe $ pidgin

Add an account.

Pidgin should prompt you to add an account.

If it doesn't, do the following:

  • Click Accounts => Manage Accounts => Add Account

Use these credentials with Western Digital:

  • Username: [email protected]

  • Login: WINDOWSDOMAIN\user_name_on_windowsdomain

  • Password: AskYourAdministrator

  • Local alias: cray-z-boiz023502
