Are you using GrapheneOS on your mobile device and wondering what the best way is to get apps for it? This guide will show you the safest, most reliable, and simply the chaddest way to install apps.
Firstly, the safest place to get your initial apps after a fresh GrapheneOS installation is GrapheneOS’s own App Store. You can use it to update system apps such as the Camera and the Vanadium browser. It also allows you to install the Google Play Store (if you need it, Play Store will run in a sandbox) and a secondary "app store", Accrescent.

Accrescent allows you to install useful and privacy-friendly apps for many use cases, such as Organic Maps (a FOSS replacement for Google Maps), IVPN (an excellent VPN client that is privacy-friendly and doesn’t store logs), Easy Notes (a privacy-friendly note-taking app), and many more. But the app you’ll definitely want to get is App Verifier. It lets you verify the hashes of your installed apps to ensure they are genuine.

Obtainium is another great way to install and manage apps on GrapheneOS. It allows you to "install and update apps directly from their release pages, and receive notifications when new releases are made available." You can add apps from many different sources, such as GitHub, GitLab, and F-Droid.

App Store + Accrescent + Obtainium + App Verifier = the BEST way to install all of your apps, trust me. If you need to use Google Play Store, I recommend installing that and its apps into Private Space.
