CIRCUITSTATE - General Group Rules and Guidelines
*CIRCUITSTATE : GENERAL GROUP RULES & GUIDELINES*
Version 1.7, 06:52 PM 19-04-2019, Friday
-----------------------------------------------
1. *CIRCUITSTATE* is an electronics and engineering related group/channel. So your posts such as images, links, videos, doubts etc. must come under any of the *scientific or technical disciplines*. Please refrain from posting content related to any other subjects.
2. Promotional posts, ads, deceptive links, hate speech, nudity etc. are not allowed, OR *spamming is not allowed*. Spammers will be *removed/blocked/reported* immediately by admins.
3. *Be nice to people*. At the front of all mobile screens are real people with emotions and ideals. Always address people you might not know with "Sir" or "Mr. <name>", or in a *mutually respected manner*.
4. *Forward all your complaints or queries to admin(s) only* [to @Vishnu M Aiea usually]. Do not post them to the group.
5. *You're allowed to post* - genuine doubts related to any technical subject, personal projects including videos, images, links etc, personal blogs related to electronics, posters and links of electronic contests and meetups, other related technical group links and pages, electronic product links, images and videos when required. *But do not flood the group with them.*
6. It is recommended *not to post* festival wishes, morning wishes, motivational stuff etc.
7. When asking questions, *search on the internet about it first*. If you can not find satisfying answers on the internet or can not understand them, then ask in the group. *Do not try to use the group as a "search engine"* by making others search and find it for you. Don't be lazy!
8. If nobody answers your questions(s), then it's likely *nobody knows about it* or not interested in answering. In that case, *do not persist* on asking or protest. Nobody is obliged to answer. *Let others have some time to see and answer* your post.
9. All posts must be written in *easily readable format*. This includes proper formatting styles such as *bold*, _italics_, ~strike-through~, ```monospace```, Capitalization, indentation, numbering etc. Since the group has members from all over India, your posts must primarily be in *English*. Sometimes you might see posts in *Malayalam* as most of the members are from Kerala. You could either ignore them as they probably are casual talks. Ask for a translation if feel concerned.
10. Do not unnecessarily and/or *intentionally split messages.* Splitting will cause the message to lose its integrity. While you're sending the remaining parts of your message, others might send other messages. This will *mix everything* and *create confusion*. When you want to add to an already sent message, quote it and add *three dots* ... at the start.
11. *Always mention members, or quote the posts* when you're replying. Do not let your replies float in space like a ghost! We have enough space junk up there.
12. When you *mistakenly post* something that is not related to the group's general interests, please use the *Delete For Everyone* feature to delete it. Note that there's a *timeout* after which you can not do this.
13. When you want to *congratulate* someone for their achievement, try to use the *Reply Privately* feature.
14. Members who do not want to comply with the group's rules are *requested to leave*.
*Rules may be updated without prior notice.*
