sudo apt-get install imagemagick | |
wget http://www.imagemagick.org/download/ImageMagick.tar.gz | |
tar -xzvf ImageMagick.tar.gz | |
cd ImageMagick-6.8.9-9 | |
./configure | |
make | |
sudo make install |
👍 sudo ldconfig /usr/local/lib
worked for me after installing ImageMagick-6.9.2-8, thanks!

if you get this error:
convert: error while loading shared libraries: libMagickCore-6.Q16.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
run this command:
sudo ldconfig /usr/local/lib
