| Now set up this laptop as a booth station. First decide which station number it is (2 to 6), or whether it's the spare. I'll use station 2 below; change the number if it's a different one. | |
| 1. Install Quick Desktop (as QS kiosk) | |
| Open Edge or Chrome and go to https://aws.amazon.com/quick/download/ → Download for Windows. | |
| Run the downloaded installer. If Windows asks for administrator permission, enter the candidate account's password. | |
| Don't sign in yet. | |
| 2. Run station setup | |
| On this laptop, the unzipped kit is in the candidate account's Downloads folder, which QS kiosk can't open. Run it this way instead: | |
| Click Start, type powershell, and open Windows PowerShell normally, not as administrator. | |
| Paste this and press Enter (change 02 to your station number, or use spare-01 for the spare): | |
| powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File C:\QuickStationKit\08-stations\windows\setup-station.ps1 -StationId station-02 | |
| Wait for SETUP PASS, which takes about 2 minutes. Four shortcuts then appear on the desktop: Challenge cards, Reset station, Verify station and R4 checker. | |
| 3. Sign in to Quick Desktop | |
| Open Quick Desktop and choose Continue with SSO. Leave the Region on Dynamic. | |
| Sign in as quick-station-02@summit-booth.example. The password is in booth-passwords.txt on your Mac desktop. | |
| This is the first real test of the enterprise sign-in we set up today, so tell me what happens, especially if you see an error. | |
| 4. Connect the simulated systems | |
| In Quick, go to Settings → Capabilities → MCP server → Import from JSON, and choose: | |
| C:\Users\quickstation\QuickStation\mcp\anycompany-sim.mcp.json | |
| You should see three connectors: anycompany-mail, anycompany-calendar and anycompany-chat. | |
| 5. Check the station | |
| Double-click Verify station on the desktop. It should end with RESULT PASS. Send me a photo if anything shows FAIL. | |
| For the other four laptops, I've fixed the kit so step 1 also puts 2-Setup-station on every user's desktop. You'll only need to double-click it, with no pasting. The updated zip is on your Mac desktop. |
