曾经流行于亚非诸多民族的收继婚、犹太教传统的Yibbum在现代背景下如何演绎，这个主题拍一部文艺片完全没问题。 但是实际上并没有拍好，依靠旁白和伪旁白（很多人物间的对话完全是在交代情况，本质上是旁白）生硬地搭了一个架子， 然后更生硬地填充了很多所谓的传统文化元素，再剪得碎一点，打乱一下顺序。 这文艺片拍得比很多类型片还流水线。
也许本片的意义就是示范了批量炮制所谓文艺片的套路： 先从世界各地的传统文化中找一个现代背景下的禁忌话题， 然后找两三个给人感觉比较文艺的城市取些景， 用真伪旁白搭好框架， 再填充上一些传统或者玄学元素，
