One of the most incredible dreams I've had.
We see a beached whale on the beach that is suffering. We're debating what to do. One of us suggests we let nature take its course and let the whale die. Perhaps the whale wants to die, otherwise why would it have wound up on the beach? Looking in the eye of the whale it seems clear that this whale does not want to die or continue to suffer. From nowhere a man comes who appears to be an expert on the situation and while we're debating what to do he immediately starts digging a trench from the ocean to the whale. Others join in and the canal extends to the base of the whale. The tide begins to come up and the trench fills with water, becoming a canal. At this point the whale is on the verge of death and we're worried its too late, but we manage to push the whale into the canal and continue to push the whale down the canal, which becomes slightly easier. The whale is having trouble breathing, so we take great care to make sure the blowhole isn't covered with sand. Finally we get the whale into the ocean and he comes alive, swimming happily into the waves. We never get a chance to say goodbye to the whale and enjoy his thanks, but his happiness and well being is gratitude enough.
I think all the characters are me, parts of my personality, and the blowhole represents my third eye. |
