As I watch Graham Stephan speak about his journey from Real Estate agent to YouTuber, he points out that other YouTubers became his friend and started encouraging him to go full time.
Based on what I've been learning from the SocialProof podcast, it's going to be infinitely more approachable and scalable to use software engineering as a funding source for starting plug & play or turnkey businesses that are automatable. This will open up more time for me to enjoy the fruits of my labor and it will open up more time for me to strategize my next plays. It will also give me more time to get better at my own craft of software engineering.y
Furthermore, I'll be able to learn techniques like marketing, sales, funnels, newsletter creation & promotion, affilite marketing, ecommerce, and then I can start selling that knowledge back to others, and I can target software engineers since I'm already embedded in that world.
I can start to interview guys like Aaron Jack, the Indie Hackers guy, David Shands, and others who have build a platform for bringing value to others and then I can do the same in the software industry. That will be fun.
