  • 16:58 Do Not Oversell. If you sell someone too much, the buyer is likely to start looking for a reason to get out of the deal. If you sell a buyer too much and they can't afford it or can't make sense of it tomorrow morning when he wakes up, he's going to want out of the deal. By overselling, you're proving that you don't care about the customer's well-being. You only care about the money.
  • 43:21 Sales is actually the way you learn about your customers, and how you find Product Market fit. Because most companies don't start with Product Market fit. You gotta iterate a little bit, you gotta tweak this, you gotta tweak that, and the only way you figure out what to tweak is by talking to customers. And the most concrete way that you know a customer actually likes your product is if they pay you money for it, and keep on paying you money for it. In the early days, maybe 60-70% of my time was spent on sales... Sales today is about to deliver value to the customer... If you figure out a way to deliver value to the customer... the money will come... solving the customers' problem...
