Directly message anyone outside your network with InMail

Goal: Send 2+ InMails

  • Contact anyone outside your immediate network.
  • If you're not connected to the person you're messaging, the message will cost 1 InMail credit, unless they have the "Open Profile" feature enabled on their account.
  • Try to compose a thoughtful, personalized message explaining who you are and why you're contacting them, but also be breif.
  • When contacting someone you don't know, it's a good idea to browse their profile to understand their interests, experience, or recent activity. If their profile doesn't have much recent activity, consider using your InMail credit on someone who is more active on LinkedIn so there's a higher liklihood of a response.
  • If you're recepient responds, you'll get the InMail credit back before your credits refresh that month and you'll be able to re-use that credit to send another InMail message to someone else.
