Install tmux 1.8 on a fresh CentOS 6.4 machine

./configure --prefix=/usr/local
make && make install
 
# cd to tmux src
cd ../tmux-1.8
LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib -Wl,-rpath=/usr/local/lib" ./configure --prefix=/usr/local
make && make install

cd ~/
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin

rm -rf tmux-1.8 libevent-2.0.21-stable tmux-1.8.tar.gz libevent-2.0.21-stable.tar.gz
