 	        <p>With only 39 days remaining until the California primary, Marshall’s campaign for State Superintendent of Public Instruction is gaining momentum.  Because of all your efforts, we can help carry Marshall to victory on June 3rd.  </p><p><br><strong>But we aren’t quite there yet. </strong> I wanted to update you on where the campaign stands, and why we still need your help to win. </p>

 	        <p>Campaign update:</p><ul> <li><strong>Grassroots donors, like you, will make the difference in this campaign.</strong>   To date, the campaign has raised approximately $900,000, mostly from individual donors like you.  We only need $230,000 more to ensure that we can share Marshall’s vision for change with voters. <strong>Can you help? </strong> Over 90% of our contributions have come from individuals.  By contrast,  incumbent Tom Torlakson has raised the majority of his funds from political insiders, unions, PACs and corporations.  In this race, your support matters. </li></ul><ul> <li><strong>The electoral climate is right for a challenger. </strong> Californian voters are ready for a change at the top when it comes to education. <a href="https://act.marshalltuck.com/Poll">Polling</a> shows that more than two-thirds of voters in the state rate the quality of education California provides as “just fair” or “poor.”  It’s clear: Voters are ready to hear Marshall’s message. </li></ul><p>Next week, we are starting an aggressive voter contact and paid media program, that will continue to focus on the real issues in the race and communicate Marshall’s vision for fixing California’s schools and bringing fundamental change to classrooms. </p><p><strong>Chip in whatever you can so we can keep getting our message out. </strong>Here’s the link to donate: <strong>[LINK]</strong></p><p>Grassroots campaigning is a powerful thing, but it’s not easy.
