- User IDs: We store these to link email verifications to users and prevent duplicate verifications.
- Server IDs: We store these to keep server-specific configurations, such as verification settings and logging preferences.
- Email Addresses: Email addresses are stored so that server owners and moderators can verify users' identities and grant access accordingly. This information is visible to server administrators.
- Verification Codes: Temporary verification codes are generated and stored only until the user completes verification or the code expires.
- Channel IDs: We store these to send verification prompts, log verification attempts, and notify staff about verification actions.
The data we collect is used strictly for operating the verification system within GateON. Without storing this data, the bot would not function properly. Specifically:
- User IDs & Emails help identify and verify users.
- Server & Channel IDs allow for proper bot functionality and logging.
- Verification Codes ensure a secure verification process.
- We do not share or sell any stored data to third parties. Server administrators and moderators have access to verified users’ email addresses within their respective servers but do not have access to emails from other servers.
We take user privacy seriously. While GateON does store email addresses for verification purposes, they are only accessible to server administrators where the verification occurred. We do not provide any means for other users or external services to access this data.
We implement security measures to protect stored data, and access to it is limited to GateON developers and authorized server administrators. If you believe you have found a security issue, do not share it in public. Instead, contact our development team via the official support server.
