# Guide by mendo for Beta 4 iOS 18.1

## Install AltStore

### 1. Install AltServer on Your Computer

#### Download AltServer:
- Visit [altstore.io](https://altstore.io) and download **AltServer** for either Mac or Windows.

#### Install AltServer:

**Mac**:
- Open the downloaded `.dmg` file.
- Drag the AltServer app to your **Applications** folder.
- Launch AltServer and follow the on-screen instructions.

**Windows**:
- Run the installer you downloaded.
- Follow the installation prompts.

> **Important:** Ensure you have **iCloud for Windows** and the **Apple iTunes** from [Apple’s website](https://www.apple.com/itunes/download) (not the Microsoft Store version) installed on your PC.

### 2. Connect Your iPhone to the Computer
- Use a USB cable to connect your iPhone to your computer.
- On your iPhone, if prompted, tap **"Trust This Computer"** and enter your passcode.

### 3. Install AltStore on Your iPhone
Launch **AltServer** on your computer.

#### Install AltStore:

**Mac**:
- Click the AltServer icon in the menu bar.
- Select **"Install AltStore"** and choose your connected iPhone from the list.

**Windows**:
- Click the AltServer icon in the system tray.
- Select **"Install AltStore"** and choose your connected iPhone.

#### Enter Apple ID Credentials:
- You’ll be prompted to enter your **Apple ID** and password.

> **Security Tip:** It's recommended to use an **app-specific password** instead of your main Apple ID password. You can generate one [here](https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage).

#### Complete Installation:
- AltStore will be installed on your iPhone.
- Once done, you might need to enter your Apple ID password again within the AltStore app.

### 4. Trust the AltStore Certificate on Your iPhone

#### Open Settings:
- Navigate to **Settings** > **General** > **Device Management** (or **Profiles & Device Management**).

#### Trust the Profile:
- Find the profile associated with your Apple ID.
- Tap **"Trust [Your Apple ID]"** and confirm.

## Using AltStore

### 1. Launch AltStore
- Find the AltStore app on your home screen and open it.

### 2. Browse and Install Apps

#### Browse Available Apps:
- AltStore offers apps not available on the official App Store, such as emulators or specialized utilities.

#### Install an App:
- Select the app you wish to install and follow the on-screen instructions.

### 3. Refreshing Installed Apps

#### Renew Certificates:
- Apps installed via AltStore need to be refreshed every seven days if you're using a free Apple ID.

**On Mac**:
- Open AltServer, click the AltServer icon in the menu bar, select **"Refresh All"**, and enter your Apple ID credentials if prompted.

**On Windows**:
- Open AltServer, click the system tray icon, select **"Refresh All"**, and enter your Apple ID credentials if prompted.

## Install Nugget Mobile via AltStore

Follow the guide for setup from this [GitHub page](https://github.com/leminlimez/Nugget-Mobile) and **reboot your phone** afterward.

## Enable All Tweaks

Once Nugget is installed, enable the tweaks you want. Afterward, reboot your device.

## Modify and Flash Gestalt

1. **Dump Modified Gestalt**: 
   - Open the modified gestalt file in a text editor of your choice.
   
2. **Find and Modify Key**:
   - Locate the following key and modify it as shown:

3. **Flash with Nugget Desktop**:
- Use [Nugget Desktop](https://github.com/leminlimez/Nugget) to flash the modified gestalt back onto your device.

4. **Wait for Model Download**:
- Wait while it downloads the necessary models.
