Presentation 1:
Lloyd Mckie on Biosecurity
Biology has a role to play in security, the bacteria can do our encryption. Will this happen? There is a new necessity for this with the approaching concerns of oil depletion and reducing coal power production. Moore's law is reaching the physical limitations of our world with regard to recognising the magnetic signature of each transistor coupled with the potential new qbit processor we may see the silicon replaced by atoms.
The phenomenon I wish to discuss:
* bio hackers ( people that set up biolabs in their home incredibly cheaply, if not a bit dubious ).
* bio inspiration ( turning to natures inventions and like Microsoft copy, enhance ).
* bio computers
* bio security ( securing the amazing diversity of this and other countries ).
* we have grown beyond critical mass. the threat of epidemic with our interconnected worlds is imminent. suppression and control of threats is a must.
* as we approach china becoming the biggest economy in the world , earliest est 2018. the two global powers china and us will fuel demand for any minerals we have.

I can make money from your blog
Despite years of contribution in spam filtering domain, the question of “how much money can spammers make?” has largely remained unanswered. Spam-marketing value on the Web can be determined by discovering the cost of distributing spam in Web 2.0 platforms and the success ratio that turns a spamming campaign into profit. Currently, there is limited knowledge about the nature of spam distribution in Web applications and public methods for estimating the turnover rate for spammers in the existing literature. This talk presents an approach that was taken in one of my research projects to measure the Spam 2.0 marketing conversion.
