Last monday, we discussed the following model for integrating the offerings of Offcourse and Everizone:
EP ---> PEM --> Offcourse --> Gapfinder --> Job
I immediately voiced my doubts about this sandwich model, since it does not correspond to the future of work and learning that we envision. I.e. You are looking for a job, you learn a skill, you find a job and then you are done.
As an alternative, I want to introduce the following diagram
EP ---> PEM ---------|
^ |
| |--->------GF ---> Job
| | ^
V | |
EP ---> OC ----------| |
^ |
| |
--------------------------------|
----LEGEND-----
PEM = Personal Employability Mapping EP = Entrypoint OC = Offcourse GF = Gapfinder
From this schema immediately follows this roadmap.
-
- Finish and Launch PEM in its intended market (Schools in Kenya, India, Netherlands)
- Finish and Lauch OC in its intended market (Open Source Developers Worldwide)
-
- Integrate PEM and OC
- Join and Expand markets
- Develop GF
- Launch ecosystem in its entirety
I believe that we can only integrate the two platforms (and seriously benefit from our joined efforts) when we reach step 2. For now, our conversations should therefore be focussed on how we can help each other reach that point. What do y'all think?
