Privacy policy for Lifted: Know When to Push

Lifted Privacy Policy

Effective September 12, 2026

Lifted: Know When to Push is a workout-tracking app developed by Yong Yeol Ahn. Lifted does not send your workout history or body measurements to the developer, and it contains no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.

Your workout data

Lifted stores the exercises, weights, repetition or step counts, effort ratings, and dates you log, along with preferences and any body measurements you enter. The app uses this information on your device to display your history, analyze progress, and suggest workouts. You do not need to create a Lifted account.

iCloud storage

When iCloud Drive is available, Lifted stores workout logs and synced settings as plain-text files in the app's container in your personal iCloud account. Apple handles storage and synchronization between your devices under Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer cannot access these files through your use of Lifted. If iCloud is unavailable, the app stores its data locally on your device. Some preferences are also cached locally.

If you choose to use the companion Lifted CLI, you can point it at the same files on your Mac. This does not send your workout data to the developer.

TestFlight and support

If you install a beta through TestFlight, Apple collects and shares beta-testing information with the developer, including installation and usage information, crash reports, and feedback you submit. Your name and email may also be visible if you join through an email invitation; they are not shown to the developer when you join only through a public link. See TestFlight & Privacy.

If you send feedback, screenshots, or a support message, the developer receives the information you choose to include and uses it to respond and improve the app. Avoid including workout details or other personal information you do not want to share. The developer does not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Keeping and deleting your data

Workout files remain on your device or in your iCloud account until you delete them. Deleting Lifted from a device does not necessarily delete its iCloud files or backups. You can manage the app's iCloud data through Apple's iCloud storage settings and any accessible copies of its files on your devices. Deleting shared files can affect other devices and the companion CLI that use the same store.

You can stop beta testing through TestFlight. Apple's retention of beta-testing information is described in its TestFlight privacy notice. For questions about feedback or support information you have sent to the developer, use the contact below.

Changes and contact

This policy describes the current app. If its data practices change, this page will be updated with a new effective date. Privacy questions can be sent through the contact information on Yong Yeol Ahn's website.
